I am a native of Jacksonville currently residing in Tyler. JHS Class of 1990 (Top Ten graduate). I furthered my education at Lon Morris College and then Bachelor’s and Master’s course work in Biology at The University of Texas at Tyler. I currently work as a Microbiology Clinical Lab Scientist at Clinical Pathology Laboratories in Tyler.
I forgot to mention in my personal bio that I worked as a studio engineer for Waller Broadcasting from 1988 until 2008 during high school, college and beyond. I have that to thank for my interest in ham radio and now for KKJX.
I have been a ham radio operator since 1992. First licensed while I was a sophomore at Lon Morris College. My wife, Peggy, is also licensed (she is K5PFL). We first met at Lon Morris and lost track of each other until 2012. We met again over Facebook and married in July 2013.
